mother and child, which makes it an important threat to public health in both developed
and developing countries.

The use of garlic should not be considered for preventing pre-eclampsia and its
complications because its effectiveness and safety was not confirmed.
More studies are necessary to determine safety, effectiveness and adherence to
treatment with garlic for preventing pre-eclampsia and its complications.
