The IECS present at the ISPOR Latin America Congress 2019

The ISPOR Latin America 2019 congress, the annual regional event of the International Society of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR), was held in Bogotá. 1100 researchers and professionals from the region participated, including 10 members of the IEC Health Technology Assessments department.Yes, among them the Dr. Federico Augustovski, outgoing president of ISPOR, and the Dr. Andrea Alcaraz, elected president of the Argentine chapter.  

The research team participated in different activities. Dr. Augustovski opened the event with a lecture as the outgoing president and participated in other discussion sessions. He Dr. Andrés Pichon-Riviere participated in two panels: “How to Improve the Deliberative Processes Informed by the Evidence of the Health Technology Assessment Agencies (Etesa)?” and “Towards a National Agencyional Assessment of Health Technologies in Argentina. Achievements and Challenges.

Mr. Darío Balan and Dr. Verónica Alfie, members of the STD department, attended the congress with the Scholarship Travel Student Grant from ISPOR. The Lic. Alfredo Palacios, coordinator of Health Economics of the IECS, spoke in the session on “Budget Impact Analysis for Decision Making in Latin America.”

Meanwhile, Dr. Natalia Espínola, Dr. Anastasia Secco and the Dr. Ariel Bardach They presented scientific posters, being selected among the best exhibited.
