The next Friday March 20th 2026, 14 to 15 pm (Argentina time)The IECS will organize the Webinar “When the team makes the difference: task sharing in primary care”A virtual meeting that proposes to analyze how the strategic redistribution of tasks within health teams can strengthen primary care and improve the response to the needs of the population.
The concept of task sharing refers to the reorganization of roles among different members of the healthcare team to optimize work in the field. During the webinar, concrete implementation experiences from Guatemala, Chile, and Argentina will be presented, with the participation of nurses, community health workers, and healthcare system leaders who will share lessons learned and challenges of this working model.
The aim of the meeting is to move from theory to practice, showing how collaborative work between professionals from different disciplines can reduce the overload on health systems and improve problem-solving at the primary care level.
The activity is aimed at health decision-makers, health center managers and public policy officials, doctors, nurses, health agents, medical students and related careers, public health researchers and community leaders.

About the project
This activity is part of the COLMA project (CO-morbid Long-term Disease Management in the Americas: blended intervention), an international initiative focused on the management of comorbid chronic diseases (hypertension, diabetes and depression) in vulnerable populations in Peru and Argentina.
The project is being developed in collaboration with the Scientific University of the South (Peru), King's College London (United Kingdom), University of Edinburgh (Scotland) and University of Limerick (Ireland).
It is funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR, United Kingdom).
