The Economist Carlos Rojas joined the department of Assessment of Health Technologies and Health Economics. Carlos is from Nicaragua and carried out exchange studies on Political Science focused on Latin America at the University of Hradec Kralové, Czech Republic and completed a Master of Science with a mention in Epidemiology at the Demographic and Health Research Center, at the Faculty of Medical Sciences from the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua, UNAN León. 
“This experience is a great opportunity for me since in my country there is not much work done in Health Technology Assessment and I know the work that is being done in the IECS in this field,” said Carlos.
