Dr. Federico Augustovski joined the Advisory Council on Global Health Strategies of an important health economics center at Tufts University, in the United States.

El Dr. Federico Augustovski, director of the Department of Health Technology Assessment and Health Economics of the IECS, was invited to join as a member of the Global Advisory Council on Global Health Strategies of the Center for Evaluation of Value and Risk in Health  or CEVR (“Center for the Evaluation of Health Value and Risk”), an organization that is part of the Institute for Clinical Research and Health Policy Studies at the Tufts Medical Center of Tufs University, in Boston, United States.

The CEVR is a leading center for evaluating the value, cost-effectiveness, and costs of strategies to improve health and health care. The objectives of the Global Advisory Council include providing input to the strategic direction of the center and also promoting the Global Health Cost-Effectiveness Analysis (GHCEA) Registry, which is a free database that compiles research papers on the economic value of global health interventions.

“Both the Registry and associated tools could be useful for making health decisions in low- and middle-income countries, and is linked to different offers and initiatives that we promote from our Department at the IECS to ensure that governments and institutions can provide more health. with the most efficient use of resources,” said Dr. Augustovski, who is also a professor of Public Health at the Faculty of Medicine of the UBA and a researcher at CONICET.
