Summary: This project aims to provide an integrated solution that enables patient-centered care through access to telemedicine services, with a focus on low- and middle-income countries (LMIC) and targeting vulnerable populations to achieve

effective universal health coverage. The project objectives are to assess the compliance of AIOTP – a PAHO free software solution to improve access to health care for people and communities in Latin America and the Caribbean – with the DPG standard and to make the necessary updates,

develop an interoperability module following the OpenHIE framework using HL7 FHIR and other necessary semantic standards, create a Clinical Decision Support module based on HL7 FHIR CDS Hooks, develop detailed documentation and standard operating procedures, and integrate a patient portal module to help patients navigate their journey through the healthcare system.
