Period: June 2024 – October 2024

Summary: LACPASS is a Regional Public Good (RPG) designed to strengthen the capacity of Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) countries in the fight against the effects of COVID-19, through digital transformation in the health sector. The project focuses on three main components: interoperability for the exchange of clinical care data, data exchange for public health surveillance, and the development of telehealth in the region.

At CIIPS, we are specifically working on this last component, which seeks to promote the accessibility and sustainability of telehealth services, both at the national level and between countries in the region. The objective of the project is for countries in the region to have interoperability frameworks and agreed guidelines to implement and sustain telehealth projects, ensuring effective integration and more equitable access to these services throughout the region.
