Objectives: To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of interventions that include elements of responsive feeding in boys and girls from the introduction of complementary feeding to 23 months of age, compared with no intervention or those that do not include these elements, on dietary outcomes and of health.
Summary: The results of this review will be used to update the Complementary Feeding Guidelines by the World Health Organization. This review of controlled clinical trials is focused on the following outcomes: food acceptance, food preferences, intake of healthy and unhealthy foods and beverages, nutrient and energy intake, growth and body composition, and child development, among others.
