Objectives

  1. Identify, by creating a map, health facilities with the capacity to provide contraceptives and post-abortion care in the Metropolitan Region of the Central District of the Ministry of Health of Honduras.
  2. Assess selected facilities at the sub-national level most affected by ZIKV, with respect to availability and willingness to provide contraceptive and post-abortion care services, including treatment of complications and provision of post-abortion contraceptive care. .
  3. Assess perceptions of services and obstacles to the use of these services from the perspectives of clients in selected areas affected by ZIKV.
  4. Assess changes in the availability and readiness of facilities to provide contraceptive services and post-abortion care.
  5. Identify changes in client perspectives after health authorities have baseline data and have time to implement changes to strengthen health systems.
  6. Establish sentinel sites to report on the acceptance and use of contraceptives and post-abortion care services.
