El Friday, October 31, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., the Institute for Clinical Effectiveness (IECS)) will host a free, in-person seminar on digital innovation in mental health. Under the title “From Innovation to Impact: Tools for Rethinking Mental Health in the Digital Age”The meeting will bring together international specialists who will analyze how artificial intelligence (AI) and digital tools are changing the way we approach mental health.
Organized within the framework of the COLMA project (CO-morbid Long-term disease Management in the Americas: blended intervention), the event will feature the participation of researchers from Northwestern University (USA), the University of Limerick (Ireland), the University of Sao Paulo (Brazil) and the IECS.
The activity will be carried out in English, with prior registration required for limited spaces. It is aimed at health professionals and members of the scientific community interested in chronic diseases, mental health, and public health.
The seminar will address how to implement digital tools in mental health care, the role of artificial intelligence, and strategies for translating research into real impact on patients and health systems, among other topics.
COLMA is an international project focused on the management of chronic comorbid conditions (hypertension, diabetes, and depression) in vulnerable populations in Peru and Argentina. It is being carried out in collaboration with the Universidad Científica del Sur (Peru), King's College London (England), the University of Edinburgh (Scotland), and the University of Limerick (Ireland) and is funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR).
