
Federico Augustovsky
Federico Augustovski is a doctor and researcher, graduated with an honors degree from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), and a master of science in Epidemiology from the Harvard University School of Public Health. He has also undertaken postgraduate courses and research in economic evaluations and decision sciences at centers at the Center for Health Economics in York and other renowned international centres.
Currently, he works as director of the Department of Health Technology Assessment and Health Economics of the IECS, associate professor of Public Health at the Faculty of Medicine of the UBA and principal investigator of CONICET of Argentina. Additionally, he leads the WHO/PAHO Collaborating Center for Health Technology Assessment of the IECS.
Federico Augustovski is recognized internationally, having been elected president of The Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) and founder of the ISPOR Latin American Consortium. With more than 150 published scientific articles indexed in Medline, and more than 780 health technology evaluation documents indexed in the “International HTA database of INAHTA” and BRISA of the OPA, his research has focused on the evaluation of health technologies and studies of quality of life related to health in Latin America, leaving a significant impact in the field of public health and health decision making.
