Veronica Alfie

Veronica Alfie is a doctor who graduated with an honors diploma from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). She is a university specialist in Orthopedics and Traumatology and a specialist in hand and upper limb surgery. She completed her professional training in the Orthopedics and Traumatology Service of the Italian Hospital of Buenos Aires where she worked for 20 years.
She completed the Master's Degree in Clinical Effectiveness at the Faculty of Medicine of the UBA with a focus on Health Technology Assessment and Economic Evaluations and is a candidate for the Master's Degree in Health Technology Assessment.
Currently, she works as a researcher in the Department of Health Technology Assessment, Economic Evaluations and Health Economics of the IECS, producing technical documents on Health Technology Assessment. She has been part of research projects on the survey of national coverage packages, development of a value framework for the evaluation of diagnostic technologies in Latin America and judicialization of high-cost medications in Argentina (Beca Salud Investiga 2020). She participated and coordinated projects in the area of ​​pharmacoeconomics in oncological and rheumatological diseases, among others.
