The National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET) announced the results of the selection process for entry into the Health Researcher Career Track. On this occasion, three members of the Institute for Clinical and Health Effectiveness (IECS) were selected, representing significant recognition of the trajectory and sustained work of our research team.
Is Pablo Gulayin y Facundo Jorro Barónwho will join as Associate Investigators, Y de Andrea Alcaraz, selected as Independent Researcher.
Dr Pablo GulayinThe current coordinator of the Department of Research in Chronic Diseases, was admitted to the career based on the research plan presented, aimed at the detection and timely care of Chagas cardiomyopathy in endemic Argentine communities.
For his part, Dr. Facundo Jorro Barón, researcher from the Department of Quality, Patient Safety and Clinical Management, was also selected based on his background and the evaluation of his work plan focused on the timely identification of the deterioration of patients due to acute respiratory infections at the first level of care in the COVID-19 era: a collaborative project for the improvement of the quality of care.
Finally, Dr. Andrea Alcaraz, current coordinator of the Department of Health Technology Assessment, Health Economics and Systematic Reviews, was selected as an Independent Researcher, in recognition of her career and the proposed research plan, focused on the allocation of resources and the promotion of public policies in Latin America through the development and application of health technology assessment and models of disease burden and economic impact attributable to risk factors.
This achievement confirms the course taken in 2016 with the creation of the Center for Research in Epidemiology and Public Health (CIESP), and reinforces the institutional commitment to the development of quality research.
