Coordinator

María Belizán has a degree in Social Communication from the National University of Rosario (UNR) and a master's degree in Social Sciences and Health from the Center for State and Society Studies (CEDES) and the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO), in Buenos Aires. Argentina, He also has a diploma in Health Promotion from the Carlos III Health Institute, Madrid, Spain.
Currently, she works as coordinator of the Qualitative Research Unit and as a teacher of the IECS Qualitative Health Research Program. She is a social scientist and researcher, has experience in research and implementation of quality improvement strategies in healthcare and has worked with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and public health organizations in developing countries.
She has been linked to our institution since 2003 when she worked as a researcher and executive coordinator (2003-2007), being responsible for institutional communication and leading the design and conduct of qualitative research. After this period, she worked as a project management consultant for the Cochrane Consumer Network –CCNet-; she provided consulting on monitoring and evaluation of health and development projects for Health & Development Africa, Johannesburg, South Africa; and collaborated with the Maternal and Child Research Unit of the Medical Research Council (MRC) of South Africa.
