We celebrate our first 20 years of history

On Tuesday, November 15, more than 300 people were present at a meeting we held to celebrate our 20th anniversary, titled “Disruptive innovations and the future of health. How are health care, research and health policies going to be transformed?”

The event, held at the Konex Cultural City, began with the projection of a new institutional video and continued with words from the general director, Dr. Andrés Pichon Riviere, who spoke about “20 years of the IECS: where we come from and where we are going.”

Then, there was a block in which we proposed have a look at the future from innovation and technology. Then the economist, journalist and scientific communicator specialized in innovation presented Sebastian Campanario (who gave the talk “A world that changes at full speed”) and the biochemist and Conicet researcher Valeria Bosio (her talk was titled “Three innovations that are already among us and will revolutionize the world of health before we realize it ").

Next, the IECS management team analyzed How these innovations are articulated with the demands, scenarios and tensions of the present.

To finish, we perform a cocktail in which we celebrate with those who have accompanied us throughout these two decades of experience and with those who help us daily to generate scientific evidence that contributes to improving global health.
