Poggio won a Harvard scholarship

Buenos Aires December 17, 2018 – We congratulate the Dr. Rosana Poggio (researcher in the Department of Chronic Diseases) who won the Bernard Lown scholarship from the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health for his project titled “An Innovative Approach to Improve quality of care for cardiovascular disease risk factors management in Poor Urban Settings: A Feasibility Study in Argentina.” 

The general objective of this project is to evaluate the feasibility of a multi-component intervention aimed at the first level of health care to improve the detection and control of risk factors in the poor, uninsured population and at high risk of Cerebral Vascular Disease. (ECV) in Argentina. They will also conduct home visits, provide cardiovascular disease counseling sessions to participants and their families, and schedule a home health consultation.
Rosana will be the main researcher of the study and it will be carried out during 2019 in some of the primary care centers of the public health network in different locations.
