Rosana Poggio was accepted as one of the leaders of the World Heart Federation Salim Yusuf Emerging Leaders Program, is a cardiovascular health research training opportunity recognized around the world and in which more than 100 countries participate.
It is one of the first training programs in the world on health policy research, health systems and implementation science. The Emerging Leaders Programme, into which Dr. Poggio was accepted, was created by Dr. Salim Yusuf in 2014 during his tenure as President-elect of the Federation. It is one of the first international cardiovascular implementation research training programs, whose primary objective is to build the capacity, professional development, mentoring and networking of emerging leaders.
